I never heard of a dog-friendly bar, but this is a great post. And in my small city back in the day, I could ride my bike to go out to see my friends and have my dog hang out under the table just in case something fell. I think there might even be a Bible verse about that. I love the dog shown.

"The grifter is a small-time confidence man, a carnival swindler, or thief of some sort or other. The grafter may be most of these things, but also may be someone who engages in the “political corruption” sense of the word graft (which we define as “the acquisition of money, position,"
Thank you for covering this aspect of what we are hearing.
It's not too hard to see the parallels. Planet of the Apes.
In this view, power is not static or purely principled, but evolves through networks of influence, institutional control, and strategic alliances that operate alongside (and sometimes beyond) the system’s stated democratic framework.
Applied to the United States, the concept suggests that formal institutions—while grounded in constitutional ideals—can, over time, reflect the influence of entrenched political, economic, and administrative elites who shape how authority is exercised in practice.
This might be the most iconic image of the successful Artemis II landing. I want to reassure everyone that there was no giant cat; this is an actual photo, but taken out of context. Sometimes the media can selectively show information to reinforce its bias.
I've seen a few posts about cats watching the Artemis II landing. This is important to share, another way to look at things differently. What if there were guidance other than human assistance in this venture?
This time-lapse of the Artemis II splashdown makes me feel like I was in the capsule, and also skipped the 6 minutes when there was no communication. Sometimes it's good to step back for a view from a distance.
The closest image of the Moon ever taken by Artemis II - this makes me think of how much of the universe we do not see, or comprehend.
This was a joyful moment when Artemis II splashed down. Time moved at a different pace last night.
I watched the "raw" coverage of #artemisII and remembered an earlier time in our history with national pride of moving humankind forward.
From Glen Rice in '89 to Elliot Cadeau in '26. It took a whole generation, but Michigan is back! 〽️ #wolverines #Michigan #goblue #happynews

I know, right? We need more of that.
This was a nice way to start the week. To see a freshman make a 3-point shot in the last seconds of the game. #uconnduke #marchmadness #turnover #nottrump
This short video of Frog Choreography helped to uplift my morning the day after No Kings 3, so I am sharing it with you. #nokings #trump #iranwar #iran
This playing card featuring #Trump presents his comment about #RobertMueller in a fresh way. There is a king, and a club with spikes in his hand. Black Heart indeed. #nokings Thanks #mwuerker for this fun design within a design.
I like this cartoon about the Strait of Hormuz, with #trump having the long red tie, the blue water, the purple tie, and #NATO looking very secure on its own. Thanks, #davewhamond, for this excellent art.
I did have to think about this for a moment, and even though the caption says it is one monster, just looking at the art (not the concept), they appear to be conjoined twins. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conjoin...
This cartoon by #davewhamond helps me to understand the terminology and timeline of the situation with Iran. It's little wonder I am confused by it all. I love the saliva coming out of the monsters' mouths. and the tiny hands. Thank you, Dave.

I like #deadder 's line art and how it can show 3D things, even 4D if you count time as a dimension. #iranwar #gasprices #pollnumbers #polls #inflation
Thanks, #DaveWhamond, for illuminating the reason our troops are now dying. This may also create an emergency that will require skipping #midterms. #IranWar #Epstein #Distraction
Comics can say what news anchors might not be able to right now. The writers had to work fast - same day - this week. This is Hegseth speaking. #SNL #Iran
I liked seeing this #Olympics #Wolfdog. Uninvited to the XC Ski Race and came in 3rd.

It's great that freedom of the press can still be expressed through humor in various avenues, including this cartoon and comedians. Sometimes, when we look at things through a different lens, we can see more clearly. Thank you for sharing this great cartoon by Matt Wuerker!
