James Bembridge, Reform Party election candidate, truly hates the NHS. If he and Nigel Farage get what they want, and win power, can you afford private healthcare?

If you're voting for an Independent in the Sheffield local elections, make sure it's not one of the racist ones. There are some great Independents standing. There are also some not great ones.

If it’s such a ‘gold mine’ why did the 14 year period of the last Conservative government, throughout which it pursued a policy of issuing licenses and maximising oil and gas production, end up being defined by austerity and the worst wage growth since the Napoleonic era?

It is! Never seen it before. Seems to be in much better condition than the Tinsley canal and much quieter too

My only niggle was a 3 metre steep and very rough path between off-road routes where a slip left me pinned helplessly under a heavy e-bike for a minute or two before I could move it enough to escape. Possibly the most undignified I’ve been this year 🫢

Decent bike ride today, despite the wind making it harder work. First go at a @cycle.travel route and very impressed at how it did. NCN and quiet roads with a bit of canal towpath too. Found this lovely mural I hadn’t seen before too.

I’ve read about silent pub reading clubs, turn up with a book and sit and read with other people. No talking or conversation just some solidarity against people thinking you want to be spoken to or included in conversation

Cartoon showing how “bikes can carry more shopping than you think; there’s a bike for just about everyone; commuting on two wheels is great for mental health; avoiding congestion means the school run is quicker; you can leave the fuel for those that need it; and cycling is fun, healthy, inexpensive, and good for the planet.”

How we can save fuel on shorter journeys in cities — a simple, classic message that’s useful every day, but especially when fuel costs are spiking. Spread this #UrbanTruth around. Thanks to @davewalker.bsky.social & @cyclinguk.bsky.social.

A powerful US spy-tech company linked to genocide in Gaza, ICE deportations, and Trump’s war with Iran is now expanding across Europe into our hospitals, police and data systems. We must expose it and stop its expansion action.wemove.eu/sign/2026-03...

Nigel Farage’s Reform UK Is Unravelling in Plain Sight A one-man movement, a refuge for Tory cast-offs and a party failing its first encounter with reality

Reform UK has lost a lot of momentum of late - which is exactly what happens when you’re chronically incapable of actually running a council and keep hiring the people you’re supposed to be replacing.

Almost as though there isn’t very much of a plan, right?

Palantir CEO Makes Shocking Confession on Disrupting Democratic Power They’re saying the quiet part out loud now.

Palantir CEO thinks his AI tech will lessen the power of ‘highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat’ while increasing the power of working-class men.

“This technology disrupts humanities-trained—largely Democratic—voters, and makes their economic power less.”

So open cheating?

This is also a reason to keep investing in the core of the city instead of dribbling projects around the city because "my district hasn't seen a shiny thing." Investment in the core pays the city back.
