Saying "if you look it up" might tip it from incompetence to maliciousness. Engagement bait. So I fell for it.

Homemade garlic powder!! Replies @... Oh! I didn't know garlic powder was the skins! That's kinda cool actually @forresto no.
@... I don't think it is. You could take the cloves of garlic and slice them. Let those dry and then do the same thing but I don't think garlic powder is actually the skin part. @... I know it seems weird, but if you look it up, it is the skins. @... I agree with you. It can't be real!!! I'm actually appalled by THIS!!!!! @... It is the skins. :
Cooking vid algo showed me someone making garlic powder... by toasting and grinding the skins. I know better than to reply. But it's such a weirdly specific confident wrongness, and doesn't seem to be intentional ragebait.
Hey, do you know string instrument teachers or have a beginner student at home?
What if the material given to beginner music students for home practice were something that facilitates intuition and gives immediate feedback instead of being just ink on paper?

Great design, read while side sleeping in bed.
$8/ gal = €1.84/ l 😅
(this is fine)
I've seen Millennials use dryer sheets... 25 years ago in a sploof.
QR Codes with round corners for Cuttle.xyz, our crafty CAD app.
Before and after. By connecting the touching corners before rounding, you end up with fewer separate bits, which translates to fewer tool jumps with various CNC processes.
It's possible I've been going down the rabbit-hole a bit on this! Shipping soon!
It's a WIP vector graphic "modifier" in #CuttleXYZ that starts with a pixel grid... could be nice with other inputs like pixel fonts.
Found a nice way to modify a QR Code that makes it friendlier for inlay, pen plot, laser score, 3D print...
brain, battery, looking forward to the next...?
grotesque thumbs up smiley
Design system as Canva library would be totally usable, but someone would have to maintain it and nudge folks to start there.
Some day one of these slop diagrams won't give itself away with melting dream writing, but not yet.
Icosahedron globe strip showing North and South America, now with lakes visible.
ObservableHQ/d3 code showing how to make lake "holes" in the land shapes.
Fixed!
The idea: concat the lakes path to the land path, and use fill-rule: evenodd.
Found lakes geojson via @nvkelso/natural-earth-vector.

12x12 multiplication table as packed circles, decomposed to primes
I want to port my Observable notebooks to my own site. There are some fun experiments in there, and it would be nice to have that notebook authoring flow in my own space.

I'm surprised there are no issues matching "lake" on that repo. Oh, and the repo is archived. Do any map heads know if there is an alternative with lakes?
(aside, I'd like to share these on the family TV, but YouTube won't cast shorts. It's like... enforced solitary consumption.)
I really like Wes Hargis' series of illustrated stories of feral childhood in the 1970s.

Yeah... my feeds are very anti.
Maybe it's cheating to animate an optical illusion like this.
I like the Cuttle version, to dial in the parameters and find where the illusion is lost or found.
rotating pips
I made it wavy by rotating the small squares. Catnip for parametric design... you can animate the parameters here: cuttle.xyz/@forresto/Ti...
#CuttleXYZ
Still a daily player with my fam chat. 😃
I'm wondering if you are saving all the scores in the db, or just the winning one. It could be interesting to have a view that sorts "solutions" by first play, second play...
that's clearly a naïve baby chick (as opposed to a more jaded one)
