from the sounds here I'm thinking my guys are fish crows and the family they fight with from the other side of the neighborhood are American crows which I had assumed they all were

crows here in NYC have been making the same sounds! -- hadn't noticed it till this year -- they seem to make the little 'wop wop's when they are chatting as opposed to territorial
