He booked a show in my city once. It didn't sell out in a matter of days so he cancelled the show. Broke my heart. Would have loved to have seen him once live.

Some decent new features and all the legacy features, too. This is a must buy.
Framing has a lot to do with how people perceive words that are hurtful and have fallen into general disuse. Instead of being denied something they need to think of it as an act of being civil and kind.
Words have power. Not just the hurtful ones but the ones that tell us how to think of them, too.
Heard someone on a podcast today making a comment about a slur saying, "Oh, we can't say that anymore," and the wording made me think of how we contextualize it like something precious that has been taken away from us instead of, "this is rude and we shouldn't say it because it's hurtful."
Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.
Page from Atari Force #3 (1981) showing a ship that looks like a Colonial Viper bursting from the ground and shooting at another ship that looks like a Cylon Raider from Battlestar Galactica.
I'm reading the Atari Force promo comics that came packaged with Atari games back in the early eighties and I hit this page and was amazed that Conway, Thomas, Helfer, Andru, and Kane got away with this. Also naming the enemy species Zylons? A little on the nose, gentlemen.
This is great. We need to see this here.
I really enjoy these Implicitly Pretentious video essays and this Spider-Man one recontextualized MCU Spidey for me. youtu.be/9cY2_IxRlgs?...
one of the reasons i can't be bothered to care about Harry Potter is because we didn't have that when i was a kid, all I had was a box of random Groo: The Wanderer comics and I've never had to deal with "Sergio Aragonés said some shit about trans people again" headlines
MOON TIME MOON TIME MOON TIME
Comic panel depicting a man looking out a window at a city skyline and saying "what a stupid time to be alive."
good morning
Randy Feltface just posted his new special yesterday. I got to see this show in a less refined form in Red Deer with a friend. It's cool to see it with a little polish and some new gags and crowd work. youtu.be/34JfTh8sgqk?...

I started playing the Midnight Suns game a little while ago and just today discovered these prequel shorts. The animation on the credits and Part One go pretty hard. They switch to being less anime and more What If...? after that. Still fun just...not as cool. youtu.be/SdROhbPZyeE?...
SUPERBOY #18 (Jun 1991, by Kevin Maguire & Ty Templeton) featuring “Soon To Be a Major Motion Picture” by me, Jim Mooney, Kim DeMulder, Albert DeGuzman, and Nansi Hoolahan.
I hope you like it. I can understand why some fans might not love it but when you only have two hours instead of 6+ you tell the story you have. I thought they did a good job and look forward to watching it again on Netflix.
Picture of the Peaky Blinders movie poster.
A lot of people are unhappy with the film but I found it to be a poignant and satisfying conclusion to the Shelby saga. So glad I watched it in the cinema, too.
If you're interested, I spoke to both Mark and Mike in separate interviews when the book came out where they discuss their approach and behind-the-scenes process stuff and Mike and I directly touch on his design choices... youtu.be/K58fmOxrgVU?...

Here’s my cover for THE TWILIGHT ZONE #8! I’m writing and drawing this story of regret, redemption, and old Hollywood!
When I heard it was continuing as a series I was hoping you'd get your crack at it. Looking forward to this!
Excited to see that we will be getting a new album from Widowspeak very soon!!! youtu.be/uS1YGiW4EM8?...
Whatever happened to the movie with Gale Anne Hurd producing? Did it just peter out in development?
PARKER: I’m writing 3 stories and drawing the one about Van Meach myself. Tomm is doing the story about May, and Steve is working on the one with Outcault. For Tomm this will be a place to show how he can do adventure, outside and in broad daylight, which isn’t the kind of story he’s usually given. Steve will be showing us how one of the main characters became the hired killer we know and love today. JOZIC: What format will Zero take – a standard comic book one-shot, mini or another album? PARKER: It’ll be a 32 page one shot. The next volume will take a while, so I wanted to have something that could come out sooner, and introduce the world to readers who may not want to buy a whole graphic novel without a test run. And readers at comic shows kept asking if those characters might come back in their own stories. JOZIC: And how about the Interman movie? Has there been any forward momentum on that front? PARKER: There’s all kinds of wackiness related to that, but I can’t talk about it. Sorry!
I ran across an interview I did with @jeffparker.bsky.social over 20 years ago and was reminded of the Interman book we never saw that would have featured stories drawn by Tomm Coker and @stevelieberart.bsky.social. Still makes me sad that this never happened. Same goes for that movie!
I reviewed the new Loopy De Loop BD from Warner Archive. It's a quick listen and I'd appreciate the traffic if you're thinking of buying or just animation or H-B curious.😊
(I also really dig this release, despite there being no bonus features)
Picture of George Lucas with the caption, "Pretty crazy how important the blockade of a trade route is right now"
Saw this today and it made me smile.
Also raises the cost of producing plastic goods so... it impacts everything.
Goji knows where it's at.
