Most Americans are paying so little attention to anything that it's alarming. Try talking to random people outside of your circles. Most are absolutely checked out and don't even have any news source besides the few things that penetrate their YouTube or TikTok bubbles and...often not the best info.

We as leftists and/or progressives have to motivate, engage and push hard during primaries. Even the races we don't win, push the nominees to the left in a meaningful way during the primaries.

Higher primary turnout should help us pick a good candidate. And good performance from even losing candidates can help shape the general election platform.

I think people should be gearing up to enthusiastically engage in the primary process and push their preferred candidates and ideas.
