Went see Les Liaisons Dangereuses at Lyttelton Theatre on London’s glitzy South Bank. Elliott directs Hampton’s Laclos tale as a long, thrilling game. Manville is deliciously sultry, Turner dangerously sexy. @NationalTheatre

First things first: Thessaloniki is very welcoming. Right on the Aegean coast, with big food & even bigger Greek smiles.
There are some beautifully quaint corners to explore, & we stumbled across some genuinely standout restaurants. Special shoutout to Kanoula.

Meteora has monasteries on pillars because 14th century monks loved a climb. No lifts just nets and pulleys back then. UNESCO approved views and Byzantine art. Just glad we didn’t have to use a ladder.

Yesterday Stuart & I wandered around Athens. But kept seeking out one thing.
Walked through Koukaki with little shops & bars, shopped in Plaka for souvenirs, climbed up Filopappou Hill. But were drawn again & again to the Parthenon. It really is that magnetic.

Went to Delphi. Zeus sent two eagles who found it, Apollo claimed it. For the next 1000 years Oracle (local women aided by hallucinogenic gases being emitted from the rocks under the site) dished out advice - for a price. Stones still holding court. @delphimuseum #Delphi #History
Climbed Acropolis of Athens & wandered through 2500 years of history. Parthenon really delivers that wow moment.
