No writer is a failure until they are dead. Full stop. A career in writing is built over decades. It's built like a house, brick by brick, book by book. Not published yet? Emphasis on YET. Book not selling? It's not selling YET. You're only done when you quit.

And I don't think you're ready to quit

Spotify Wrapped 2024!!

I’m admittedly a little disappointed in the graphics and execution of this year’s Wrapped. Something tells me they relied heavily on AI… which no one asked for…

mcr is my favorite band! Idk what their stance towards religion is now but I’ve def noticed the first album (and really all albums) have heavy Catholicism imagery. Can’t say I’ve ever thought of them in the same vein as Flyleaf tho. More just referencing it rather than worship-like, you know?

I’m about to finish a poem I’ve been working on for weeks. A cool, rainy breeze blows through open windows, while the scent of an apple candle fills the air. A glass of moscato sits nearby. Hozier’s new album plays.

This is a phenomenal evening.

Over the weekend, I worked on a first draft of a poem and did a lot of planning for my chapbook. Still a lotttt of work to go on the chapbook, but it felt great to sit down and plan things ☺️
