I've been lucky enough to start the year doing Pattern Club's (@patternclubsheff.bsky.social) Winter School. Last weekend, we got familiar with strudel.cc/ & Carnatic rhythms, and this weekend, incredibly, we learnt about Flamenco and made weird robots! (Pencil case = a weight!)

Toxic wood-burning remains unenforced in Sheffield, despite hundreds of complaints and a serious threat to childrens' health Home wood-burning has overtaken traffic fumes as the primary source of air pollution in UK cities.

Domestic wood-burning now accounts for a higher share of toxic air pollution than emissions from vehicles, say @mumsforlungs.bsky.social.
