Very much looking forward to that day, Mattheus! Hell yeah!
Very happy to say I got into #DragonCon again! I'm not taking anything for granted this year. It's a huge honor to get into this warm and well-presented show. See some of you in Atlanta in early September!
Exactly. *sigh*
Oof, yeah, I get that! We're artists, we like to communicate via our art. Speaking for myself, that's my heart on a platter right there, even if it's not immediately obvious how.
Amen! Honestly, I can't even be bothered to shitpost. That other hat we all have to wear, 'social media marketer' really weighs on the ability to just make the best art I can. Probably why I'm not posting as regularly anymore.
Thanks so much!
Aw, thanks! :-)
Hell yeah!
Oh yeah, little bits of shape language like that is important. I grew up on those practical effects movies.
Excellent! :-)
Aw, thanks!
Haha, thanks! WotC always gives a brief: about a paragraph or so of text regarding the mana color, location, mood, and what else they want there. In this case they didn't specify what's entombed there... just how frighteningly epic.
It's such a special place!
Thanks so much, Dakota!
Thanks, Jori, likewise!
Woohoo, glad it got some use! :-D I had a fun time painting that one.
Well, well, it's #portfolioday already? I just got back home from a trip, so I'm out of the loop. However, if you like fantastical landscapes, then I got some for you! I'm mostly working for MTG and D&D these days.
Soooo good!
Our time in Japan is almost done, but what a great time it's been!
A much simpler set-up than usual! But the event has been a success. I don't think I've altered so many cards in my life! Turns out, Slay the Spire is a hit in Japan like everywhere else, so, many altered playmats as well.
Thanks!
Yeah, I'm diplomatic sometimes, haha. This time wasn't onerous, but some last minute requests can be.
Thanks, Jori! Always an interesting complication to figure out.
A quick look at the painting for "Library of Alexandria" from when I was working on it! Acrylics, 24x20 inches.
Anyone interested in it can contact Phil Li to discuss, as I'll be out of the country for the next two weeks! If you don't know how to contact him, though, feel free to reach out.
Aw, thanks! It's a place I'd want to visit for sure.
Thanks! The ring of stones is to help the viewer set this in the plane of Arcavios. You definitely got the intended mood. :-)
That's definitely on the list to make prints of! It'll have to wait for a couple weeks, though.
Thanks for letting me know! I'm sorry that happened to you. I hope it can be resolved for you.
