Does anyone know of any games that use boids or flocking algorithms for enemy combat and/or bosses?
I have some ideas.👀

With the way my students just use DeepL and don't actually learn how to make sentences nor ask for help (neither are they encouraged to) I can just not go to class and literally have no impact whatsoever.

Yes, I see this trend in other subjects as well. This trend is very concerning.

Some tiles can be placed by the algorithm to help the player and tiles that are not on the path can be obstacles. Suddenly, you have neat little endless mobile game concept.

During my research, I discovered something interesting:
Predefined paths can be generated using maze algorithms. By selecting a random endpoint and backtracking to the start, you can create a potential track for the player. Also this approach allows infinite configurations.

Pipemania Clone

Pipemania Clone

Does anyone know the old game Pipemania?
I made my own clone couple of months back with streets.
Red street tiles are generated from the algorithm where green one can be placed from the player.
The nature tiles are just obstacles.

Getting my first playable prototype up and running.
I am getting myself trapped in optimizing the hell out of every possible component of my game.

Just don't.

I love procedural generation. I don't know why. It's just magic✨ and math, a lot of math.
I use it a lot in my game for terrain generation and structures. It's so fascinating to see some functions coming to life, creating unique and beautiful shapes.
