Absolutely incredible.
NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who commanded Artemis II, took this footage from the far side of the Moon with his iPhone.
Watch with sound on.

lots of bees out taking flying lessons late afternoon, foragers bringing in plenty of dandelion
ever just sit in a cloud of bees?
lilacs are taking off, malus is about to bloom, apple in full flower, the real spring has arrived
spiderman pointing meme
they look great! watched a couple emerging for the first time as well
my afternoon with the bees! transferred them to their full size hives, saw the queen in each colony, lots of healthy baby bees developing so they should expand quickly!
she's charging
did a quick check through the hive floors on the way to work, big cluster where i assume the brood nest is, both colonies still had foragers out flying even in the rain!
they're so cooooool
ahaha i was hoping bluesky would actually function enough for you to see this
i made such a good call doing this, if you've never sat on the ground in a cloud of bees it's unbelievably cool
i have beeeeeeees!
What I like best about the Artemis II photos is that it was taken by actual humans. An actual person had to frame it and manually adjust settings. It's their own artistic rendition of what they thought looked best at the time, something no probe, rover or unmanned spacecraft can take. it's art
oh but i can't attach a large powerpoint without being forced to use onedrive, the devil's storage medium

these motherfuckers said it would splashdown at 8:07 and it splashed down at 8:07. after going to the fucking moon. fucking a man. god damn
i can't sit with them
probably the first plant I got when I started this garden was this jasmine so it was slightly overdue a bigger pot. managed to do it without pulling the whole plant off the wall netting!
if you have to deal with dogs in the absence of their owners in an already stressful environment i cannot tell you how immediately obvious it becomes that we've done a tremendous amount of damage. like generationally we have wreaked havok on these animals and it gets worse every single year
like "he barks a lot if i leave him alone" yes and you did that to him and you're reinforcing that behaviour every time you demand to take him somewhere dogs don't need to be. good luck when he has some kind of cardiorespiratory compromise and tries to stress himself to death over being hospitalised
this is just another flavour of entitled behaviour from people incapable of living in a community but fwiw as a veterinary professional a huge percentage of dogs are now riddled with behavioural problems incl separation anxiety that literally endangers their lives when they need hospital care
spent the sunny afternoon getting the final prep work for the beehives finished ready for the Great Arrival next week!
I guess we're just waiting around to see if this demented psychopath kills everyone: defector.com/i-guess-were...
