I had a very nice podcast chat with Sebastian Hassinger at New Quantum Era, talking about my quantum journey, the Quantum Systems Accelerator and quantum research at @berkeleylab.lbl.gov The episode is now live. podcast.newquantumera.com/61
Back at ACS, it has been a minute.
We predict quantum breakthroughs ahead!

We're proud to be part of @berkeleylab.lbl.gov's #quantum efforts, by supporting QUANT-NET's #quantumnetworking research. ⚛️👇:
I appreciated the opportunity to present a keynote at Quantum.Tech last week, where I discussed the transformational advances by the five Doe National Quantum Initiative centers, while highlighting opportunities for industry and other institutions to partner…followed by a panel diving even deeper.
Some great work out of the Quantum Systems Accelerator led out of Berkeley Lab.
We had a full house at the APS Global Summit this morning, where the five centers highlighted the tremendous progress in QIS they have delivered in the first 4 1/2 year of operation.
Come join. We will be bringing pizza and drinks for all to make it a fun night!!!
#Quantum #Hockey at the 2025 @apsphysics.bsky.social Global Physics Summit in Anaheim.
One of the key events at the #APSmarch Meeting. One week to go. Mark your calendar.
Join as a spectator or as a player to support your team and see who will establish #quantum advantage!

Does that mean I won’t gain weight as long as I don’t step on a scale? 😂🤣
In the first five years of the Quantum Systems Accelerator we not only build quantum computing prototypes, but also used them to start exploring interesting materials physics problems. We’re charting a path to scientific discovery with quantum tech. quantumsystemsaccelerator.org/2025/02/26/q...
You better be ready. There are some amazingly smart and creative kids out there that can blow you away.
I’ve worked with some talented high school students, undergrad and grad students , and postdocs. They are making a mark on the scientific community.
Earlier this week, the Berkeley Lab Computing Sciences held its annual postdoc symposium. 20 of our highly talented postdocs gave 10 minute pitch talks about their research. It's a great learning experience, with a lot of mentoring. prior to the event. They did an awesome job!!!
“Quantum is a research field that needs big science, needs big teams, needs interdisciplinary teams of researchers, and that is something you will find here at Berkeley. That's what we do. We build big experiments.” - Quantum Systems Accelerator Director @wadejong.bsky.social
Awesome work!
I have college as that had to evacuate the area 😔
Welcome to 2025, the International Year of Quantum!

Is this you or are you having your robots from your self driving lab doi no the typing 😉😁
Awesome work by Harvard’s Quantum Systems Accelerator team in partnership with QuEra and others. It’s awesome to see quantum computing technology development leading to exploration of science applications.
Cool, exciting. It’s impressive to see ideas become companies.
