I will be attending Game Con Canada in Edmonton in June.
Flights and hotels are booked and I am not sure what to expect.

2046: AI "adult" robots hit the market, but lead to mass addiction.

2057: The AI becomes self aware.

2058: Realizing that humanity will never stop fighting, the machines move to the asteroid belt to wait in exile.

Indie Games: Zombies & the Undead
Indie Games: Zombies & the Undead With only four episodes left in Season 2, we're going to talk zombie games! And since the undead are scariest in numbers, we're got three indie game designers to talk about their visions of the undead...

If you like zombies be sure to tune in Monday night as I join The Eclectic Goat, Lytha The-Bard and Paradigm Concepts, Inc. as we discus all things indie and undead.

The Curse of Nefer Ka Tet is not out until May 1st, but the print run arrives next week, so this weekend I will be reaching out to reviewers and I need to expand my list.

Can anyone recommend some smaller reviewers that might be interested in a rules lite zombie TTRPG?

A mummy gazes over New York City from the heavens. The title "The Curse of Nefer Ka Tet" hovers over the buildings, with an extra line at the bottom reading "A Pulp Adventure for Reanimated"

It has gone to the printer and now we wait.

Busy at the moment, but leaving a comment so I can find this when I finish my current task.

That is awesome. I had to stop scrolling and take a good long look at everything going on in this piece.

Snow day today. Can't get out of my driveway, so I am attempting to be productive at home by doing the illustrations for The Curse of Nefer Ka Tet.

Illustration is definitely the part of game design that I just don't enjoy.

The writing has been finished for The Curse of Nefer Ka Tet. All that is left is the art and then it can go to the printer.

It might be ready for some of the conventions in May, but I can't be sure.

I avoid real world politics while wearing the company colours, though that can be difficult at times.

Look on the bright side. A lost sub is likely better than someone starting a flame war in the comments.

I exclusively use public domain fonts for my projects, but yes, the choice of font makes a huge difference.

A Google search with green arrows pointing to Reanimated, a zombie roleplaying game by the poster.

Getting featured in a fairly generic search is a great milestone. It may not seem like much, but this is progress.

That is disappointing. Your content should absolutely get you in.

I wonder if their idea of "press" is more traditional news like the BBC instead of reviewers.

Normally I have pregens, but I did run Join Their Ranks at Game-itoba and had everyone build a character.
We were up and running in 5 minutes, and it gave people much more flexibility, so I may be bringing more blank sheets from now on.

5'/2m. I run hybrid, hexes for most things and squares for hallways.

Lets ruffle some feathers.

If it wasn't clear by how my games are designed, I think that character creation should take no longer than 10 minutes as a base and maybe another 5-10 to rank up a higher level character.

I have tried to learn coding a few times, but my brain is just not wired that way.
I find it very interesting that a game on this scale can be done this way.

As a player, I don't take notes unless my character is taking notes. I find note taking immersion breaking.

Critical hit tables can be fun, but for anything else I usually just pick an option from the table rather than rolling.

I do my writing in LibreOffice then shift over to Scribus to nest images and export as PDF.

Character sheets and most of my art is done in Inkscape, though I do make use of GIMP and Krita for texturing and airbrushing.

I would also add that small channels should reach out to small developers.

Usually the reason we don't reach out is because we just have not found you, but if anyone asks me for a review copy I always send one out.

All coverage is good coverage and I like supporting small creators.

I try to. It can be hard to convince people to do it. Fortunately one of my players was very interested in testing Quest Nexus, so we were able to run a full Shadowrun campaign using it.

I also do a lot of conventions, so that gives me options as well.

That name is S-tier marketing. It appeals to the Tiktok generation because it feels like no effort was made, but in fact that was very well thought out.

I tend to avoid things like that because it sets expectations for future products to be nonsensical.

Those books are a good resource for GMs who need character and location names. Gary Gygax published one way back in the day.
When trying to name a game they fall short, as the web has a way that things need to be done.
I could call my game Epic Goblin Dudes of Norgboria!, but that will get buried.
