WIP Wednesday was technically yesterday but life had other plans so here it is!

The project is customizing my family's full length mirror. I'm using acrylic paints to create amethyst geodes that will have gold chains with mystical charms draped over it all!

It's good to understand our positionality and be aware of the space we occupy but we have to be mindful of not internalizing those lessons as "my feelings don't matter unless I can justify them" Especially in our personal relationships

We don't actually need to quantify if we've suffered enough to earn compassion or care. Even if it wasn't a big deal to someone else it's ok if it affects you more strongly. And even when it happens more than once it's still ok to make a big deal out it bc it didn't stop affecting you

And it can be harmful to try to push yourself to find one by ignoring the emotions you think aren't "good" or "useful". Sometimes you just have to wait for a dark cloud to pass and make sure you're still around when the sun shines again. Keep flying lil crow 🖤

Having strong convictions is really important in this fight. We just ALSO have to be open to new ideas, give authority to those with expertise, and be actively pursuing learning. But if we don't have strong convictions then we give up too quickly so take time to think deeply about your values

We all wish we could learn every lesson the first time, but most of the time it takes us trying and failing many times at the same problem to figure out a new way forward. We are all always doing the best that we can with the information and resources we have at the time 🖤

A lot of us were raised to feel a lot of anxiety around doing anything but especially around our success. Either bc we were expected to be perfect, or taught we weren't good enough, or that anything we were proud of would be taken away. We push back by valuing the process and progress we're making

Accountability ≠ Punishment
We've all balanced on a moment where we were deciding if we were ready to let go. Remember that letting go doesn't mean forgetting or erasing but it does mean forgiving yourself and releasing the shame and blame so that you can move forward. When you're ready lil crow 🖤

Our anxieties try and tell us change is impossible. But life is change. Nothing stays the same. We can't control everything but we do get some choice in who we become. Become your truest self and know the journey, not the destination, is the whole point 🖤

As individuals we may be weak and vulnerable but as a collective? There's very little we can't do. They call a collective of crows a murder so go out today and help kill corporate compliance with fascism by showing them how committed we are to each other. No DEI? No Dollars

Recently when Coke announced their plan to roll back DEI people started flocking to Pepsi but Pepsi is not a "good" corporation and now people are disheartened as Pepsi is rolling back their DEI. There are no good corporations bc there is no ethical way to be a corporation under capitalism

No ethical consumption under capitalism also means that there are no "good" corporations. Corporations aren't going to save us, they're going to do what will make them profit. While it is important for us to be intentional and understand the value of our dollar. We cannot buy our way out of fascism
