Reminder to the USA you impeached Richard Nixon for trying to spy on his opponents.

Donald Trump is a suspected pedophile, War Criminal with dementia trying to start WW3 by using nuclear weapons.

Don't you think, MAYBE, you should get rid of him?

Say hello to the UK’s most successful growth industry: organised waste crime | George Monbiot Thanks to a sustained ideological assault on regulation, our country has been turned into a literal dump, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Another triumph for deregulation! By saving a few million in monitoring and enforcement, our governments have landed us with a vast illegal waste dumping problem, new organised crime networks and a clean-up bill that could run to tens of billions.
My column.

If we made the green energy transition this war would be unthinkable and these authoritarians wouldn’t be in power — not in the US, not in Iran, not in Saudi Arabia, not in Russia. Hydrocarbons are killing our freedom and just plain killing us.

Had the same, dog didn't even spot them, didn't even rattle the letter box. They must be like ninjas.

Yes of course they knew.
They gambled on having someone with such close links to those in power in the US would be worth the potential political risk.
They lost that bet big time.

Plaque unveiled to commemorate the work of Sheffield Tree Campaigners. Yesterday saw the unveiling of this plaque at Sheffield Town Hall. CEO Kate Josephs opened the proceedings. She said, "It's my great pleasure to be here this afternoon. Thank you very much, all of you, for being here today. We're gathered to mark the unveiling of a very special plaque to commemorate the street tree campaign. This is not a celebration in the usual sense.

Plaque to honour Sheffield tree felling protesters unveiled The plaque honours campaigners who fought to save thousands of trees over a five-year period.

This is good to see, but a small step in undoing the damage to the people of Sheffield during those years of tree-felling conflict.

I read the report last year and was surprised, but not shocked, at the level the Council protected itself and its actions.

Saw this Friday at the Crucible Sheffield. It's very good.
Great script, well thought out characters and clever choreography make for a captivating show.

A plaque is entirely symbolic, and will do nothing to address any of the underlying issues with either Amey or #Sheffield City Council.

The Ladies Football Club shines light on women’s game and battle against injustice | Women’s football The Crucible Theatre is best known for hosting snooker, but it claims a place in football history too. On its outer wall, a blue plaque marks the site where the Sheffield Rules of the game were agreed in 1858, back when it was the Adelphi hotel. So it is a fitting spot to be premiering a new play this month about the establishment – and subsequent dismantling – of women’s football in the early 20th century.

Today's by-election is another illustration of the problems with FPTP.

The result may tell us less about what voters want to happen than whether they can game the system effectively to stop a result most *don't* want.

The electoral system should not be an obstacle that voters have to work around.

They were probably in a dilemma with, would revealing another racist in their party hinder or help their campaign?
Probably help, reinforced their base whilst anyone worried about racism wouldn't be voting Reform anyway.

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

Best trying to dodge that one.

This is the report I spoke of on #bbcaq just now - ministers tried to suppress it, were finally forced to release it after an FoI, but shamefully only published a redacted version. The first duty of Govt is to protect its citizens - that starts with being honest with us about scale of threat we face

We need a UK Digital Sovereignty Strategy!

Our over-reliance on foreign tech giants is a huge risk to our security and resilience when faced with Donald Trump’s ever increasing belligerence.

Companies like Palantir have no place in our critical digital infrastructure.
