This is good to see, but a small step in undoing the damage to the people of Sheffield during those years of tree-felling conflict.
I read the report last year and was surprised, but not shocked, at the level the Council protected itself and its actions.

Today's by-election is another illustration of the problems with FPTP.
The result may tell us less about what voters want to happen than whether they can game the system effectively to stop a result most *don't* want.
The electoral system should not be an obstacle that voters have to work around.
They were probably in a dilemma with, would revealing another racist in their party hinder or help their campaign?
Probably help, reinforced their base whilst anyone worried about racism wouldn't be voting Reform anyway.
