Bars were able to stay open an hour later from February 7-10 2008. The reason: Fredericton was hosting the East Coast Music Awards.

Cabinet finally repealed it in March, 18 years later.

Last year's literacy results from New Brunswick schools are out and they're not great. Improvements at the Gr6 level but roughly half of Gr4 students did not meet grade level.

NB Power will be mandated to buy power from SMRs, even if not the lowest-cost option - New Brunswick... The utility is required to purchase power at the lowest cost, but a new bill would force NB Power to buy at least some power from SMRs.

“NB Power has to buy generation at the least-cost option. We know that the first of a kind when it comes to the development of an SMR would fall outside of the auspices of that legislation and therefore the utility would be precluded from buying it.”

On Sept 20th Higgs said: "Parents did not know that in the education system, children were being taught to lie to their parents. They didn’t know and now they do."
