We really just have no leverage on this one. Best I can do is immunity/sanctuary there if you can Make It Happen.

This is some straight up bullshit. And why I’ve stopped purchasing ebooks through Amazon and moved to non-Kindle e-readers.

This is an excellent book, go buy a copy. And read it.

Going to a PWHL game is a great way to realize HOW MUCH MORE popular hockey could be if the culture around men's hockey wasn't so fucking toxic.

Sometimes I think about how when my parents were born interstates literally didn't exist but then they did and the entire landscape of the US was completely changed by the time they were adults. So, like, could we just do that for high speed rail?

"The IOC already tried mandatory sex testing. For decades, every female Olympic athlete was screened. In all those years, it never caught a single person deliberately misrepresenting their sex. What it did was destroy the careers & lives of women with intersex conditions they didn’t know they had."

if the game devs didn't want you to use the options, they wouldn't have included them.

play that game on easy mode. summon that online helper. use that cheat code.

the only thing that matters is if *YOU* are satisfied. don't base your enjoyment of a game off of the opinion of online strangers

Deffo sounds like something a doctor should check out.

Almost! It’ll get there. You can’t rush greatness.

It feels more surprising that it took you that long to do it.

INCREDIBLE STUFF!! “And while the IOC says the SRY gene "represents highly accurate evidence that an athlete has experienced male sex development,"… the scientist who discovered the SRY gene in 1990, Andrew Sinclair, has publicly opposed using the test to determine biological sex.” MY GOD

Also the roadway spaghetti around the ballpark in Cincinnati is a whole thing. I truly felt for Zach at the beginning of Unwritten Rules.

@kdcaseywrites.bsky.social As someone who spent a handful of years living in both Cleveland and Cincinnati, I really appreciate the cameos those cities made in the first two of your books that I read.

"My husband complains about the cold," the man said. "Can you teach me a spell to keep him warm?"

"I can teach you to bind hair into a net to catch heat," the wizard said, "using arcane counting and a pair of fine wands."

After a while, the man said "Isn't this knitting?"

"This, too, is magic."

That’s way too easy and doesn’t let them buy cool sounding gadgets.

Don’t even worry about it. You’re really good at the part of the job that matters most and competent at the part that only matters to your management. I say you’re killing it. (No pun intended, perhaps not the best compliment for a hospice worker 😬)

My boss also concurred that it’s worth seeing an ankle guy to see if I need to get it fixed to prevent future problems in my ankle/knee/hip. Which I was able to get in for today!

NGL, the fact that my boss agreed with my assessment made me feel smart bc she’s been a PT for, like, 30 years.

Anywho, if anyone wants to see what it looks like, I’ll happily send you a picture. (It’s not super gross - just some v impressive ankle bruising.)
