Tramore Pottery childrenโs class has been selected to exhibit at Bloom! Theyโre going to make a mini replica of the sand dunes ๐ This week the children visited the dunes with us to learn more about the area, and they even planted some marram grass! We canโt wait to see their creation at Bloom!
We were delighted to be joined at our beach clean this week by some of our membersโ children enjoying their Easter holidays ๐ฃ So inspiring to see the next generation learning how important it is to protect our birds and marine life ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆข๐ฆ๐๐ฆ
If you find plastic spades, buckets and other children's toys that have been washed in with the tide, please put them in the Borrow Box so they can be reused by other children instead of being carried back out to sea ๐

Ricky and Catherine led a fantastic workshop on Wednesday morning in the dunes with the Cubs and their leaders โบ๏ธ The Cubs showed great interest and enthusiasm, and learned about marram grass planting and litter collection and categorisation ๐๐๐
Today marks the 4th Annual Sand Dune Gathering, where our members will share their knowledge with other dune conservation groups, and learn new techniques to protect this important coastal ecosystem ๐

Some great dune restoration work carried out yesterday and today by our dedicated team ๐ They've been busy planting marram grass and installing chestnut fencing! If you'd like to get involved in our sand dune restoration project, send us a message or keep an eye on our socials for our next session!

Despite the miserable weather yesterday, we put on our rain gear and cleaned the beach ๐ Fingers crossed for better conditions next week ๐ค
Delighted to see Waterford Council putting in beautiful trees in Tramore this morning, there are 10 new trees going into this area, others will be planted in other estates throughout Tramore ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ
Some new Swift boxes made by Andrew ๐ These boxes will be placed high up under the eaves on buildings in and around Tramore to help these beautiful birds who come to Ireland to breed each year ๐ฆโโฌ
