Western carmakers are retreating from EVs just as oil hits $100 a barrel.

The parallels with Detroit in the 1980s are striking. They ignored fuel-efficient Japanese cars. Now theyโ€™re ignoring Chinese EVs.

BYD just unveiled 600-mile range and 250 miles of charge in 5 minutes.

Spain's renewables build-out has structurally decoupled its electricity prices from gas markets. Gas now sets the price in only 15% of hours, compared to 90% in Italy.

Countries that invested early in clean power are far less exposed to fossil fuel price shocks. Those that didn't now pay the price.

We need to be honest about Iran โ€“ and how our rampant greed for oil is causing mayhem | George Monbiot Oil has empowered capitalism, and some of the worldโ€™s most exploitative regimes. Move away from it and we can solve some of the key issues we face, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Fossil fuels push the world towards autocracy. Were we less dependent on them, there might have been no President Trump, no President Putin, no ayatollahs, no Netanyahu, no perpetual Middle East wars. Democracy depends on unhooking ourselves.

When cities are built with women in mind, they become more liveable for everyone.

A fairer planning approach that promotes a universal right to access the city, and considers every aspect of human life, from infancy to elderly; not just those in the so-called productive stage.

Tetris used to prevent post-traumatic stress symptoms A single dose psychological intervention, which includes using the computer game Tetris, can prevent the unpleasant, intrusive memories that develop in some people after suffering a traumatic event.

In the Emily Holmes' original "tetris can help reduce PTSD" study, what was found was that tetris is an activity which busies the part of working memory called the visuospatial sketchpad: imagining the rotation of shapes.

Disabled son of ICE detainee dies after 30 days of hospitalization It had been months since Wael Tarabishi seen his father. The family is calling on ICE to release Maher Tarabishi so he may attend his son's funeral.

In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maherโ€™s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Waelโ€™s caregiver put his life at risk.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

ICE caused his death.

They didnโ€™t get to say goodbye.
