Elected as in voted in by the senate but I take the point. However, my point is that normal people, parents for example should be able to trust that someone in that position is giving them the best advice. I completely agree that the advice is wrong....

I'm a teacher, a grown adult, with a free period before lunch. And yet still I wait for the bell before I start my lunch.

Offer an alternative evening. Lots of ours were done on different evenings if teachers had prior/family commitments. No longer possible for us know as we have gone back to in person parent evenings.
