Why is this Fair?

I appreciate that. Well played! ✅
$6 billion? For one initiative? Yeah… it doesn’t pay. You’ll lose far more spaces in privately owned enterprises than you could ever create with city funded care centers. It’s a net loss. The research shows it in quite literally every other country that tried the swap.
How’s that “Obama Care” aka the Affordable Care Act working out for y’all?
My age? How old do you think I am?
You flatter me.
$6 billion per year up to Kindergarten to pay for every kid in NYC. $6….. Billion!!!
No.
No.
No.
They did none of that.
Not trolling. Engaging. Best rivalry in sports!
Auto disengage in 3,2,1….. 💥
RFJ Jr. is a lawyer. Also… a former environmental lawyer to boot.
We tried the $10/ day daycare up here. Pretty much a struggling idea. The people that work at these agencies don’t earn much (minimum wage) and are ill equipped to provide adequate care. Additionally, chased off private enterprise trying to compete in the same market, losing overall capacity.
Also, I own a Yurt! They’re kinda awesome. It’s on my vacation property I. A small island off of north Vancouver Island. You’re welcome to visit.
Who’s a libertarian?
I advocate for maternity leave, 1 year, government sponsored 60%, company can make up the other 40%.
$6 billion per year to fund everyone daycare spot in NYC from 3-k.
Pennies…. 🙄
I’m Canadian Blade. I live in BC on Vancouver Island. Our tax system is less than favorable in my humble opinion, and yet… here we are .
Taxes are never optional.
I believe that anyone who has children, should be responsible for all costs associated with them.
I have 3 children (adults now) and I ensured that I met all of their needs, and didn’t need the government to step in, and gave other people pay for their care, sports, clothes, food, shelter, etc.
Yet, NYC mayor wants them to pay for other people’s child care.
Free? For who? The families with children? Sure.
The rest of the tax paying base? Hmmm…. Something tells me that’s a firm NO.
You jumped into my comments faceless GenX guy. Enjoy your day.
Block me… don’t block me… all the same to me. Only one of us is a free speech absolutist… the other is a democrat from Wisconsin.
Cheers, eh?
I see you’re from Wisconsin. That explains a great deal to me.
Next time lead with that. I wouldn’t waste so much time using logic.
I am no idiot, yet, others would disagree as I was looped into a discussion with you that proved fruitless.
I assure you, I am very much a Canadian.
I don’t want him too.
Don’t get me wrong… I’ve been a Chapman fan for a long time… he’s now wearing the wrong jersey… so here we are. ⚾️
No one’s arguing non-citizens should vote. The disagreement is method.
Current system = attestation + verification.
SAVE Act = documentary proof upfront.
That’s where people split: redundancy vs. added barrier.
Stop splitting hairs, this legislation makes sense, regardless of party lines!
Final word. I am so far from being a southerner , it’s ridiculous.
Remember when I said my son just recently received his green card? Why do you think he would’ve required one?
Have a great day.

(We require photo ID to vote in ALL elections)
A) I am in 100% agreement with the first slide. It’s what I have been saying all along.
B) I refuse to comment on ridiculous claims like your second image.
Thanks for the chat. 👍🏼
No, he was issued an SSN after he received his green card. And yes, it is a permanent SSN, even after he becomes a citizen, should that be his choice.
Show ID to vote.
It’s simple.
A plurality… no… a massive plurality of Americans (regardless of race, religion, etc) want voter ID for ALL elections. Full send.
This is proving my point. A Real ID has nothing to do with citizenship, and you’re conflating this discussion.
The SAVE act requires proof of citizenship, ergo, a REAL ID is not necessarily sufficient!
