Balta verdict a lesson from real court to AFL about off-field incidents The AFL does not pull punches when it comes to on-field incidents, but its soft handling of the Noah Balta case shows it is time to get just as serious about matters off the field.

Ok, so clearly the umpires have a directive to jump in anything they think is under a 15-metre kick.
