I honestly never got over how they treated the Klingons, even with their explanations, and I hate Burnham as a character. There are a few decent episodes, especially towards the end. It was the last show I hate watched. SA doesn’t count because I only watched 7 episodes before I quit.

I like VGR, probably my favourite after DS9 and TNG. It’s more uneven than those shows, IMO, there are some stunningly bad episodes even later in the run and they never did enough with the “stranded / low resources” angle. Half the eps could have been TOS or TNG eps. YoH should have been a season.

You didn’t ask for shorter seasons, but “everyone” asked for much higher production values (movie level), and bigger stars (movie stars aren’t considered slumming it on tv anymore) and integrated plot arcs. You’re doing none of that making 20 episodes a season for five years.
