with erdos problems you can verify what it's learned but with ml you still have to actually run the experiments

doesn't that information leak between labs already just because of the movement of people

if they do this, it'd be really dumb because nothing we've seen lately has suggested anything has changed about scaling laws or the bitter lesson but it would needlessly reduce the quality of research ideas they can yoink from external researchers
