Holy hell Deus Ex's soundtrack is phenomenal. Every time I listen it I'm blown away.
Typically, yeah. I have a weird bug that nobody I knew was able to resolve where it ghost launches. It doesn't appear in task manager but is 'running' in steam. Patched and everything lol.

I actually started a playtrhough of Tactics earlier this year. Dropped it when I got busy. Should pick it up again. Got pretty far.
Trying to remember if you could also pick skin colour originally, or that was a thing made for a mod specifically.

it's really well done I highly recommend if you've never played through it with the mod to do so
to those who don't know very early on in development it was set up so you could pick your gender. time constraints while changing a fallout 1 style game to a first-person shooter led to cuts and that led to The JC we love.
there is a mod though. fully voiced. That does bring back female denton
I wish the remaster of Deus ex that's coming out just went all in and made JC a woman
- talk to everybody at least twice, you'll miss out on *a lot* if you don't.
- deus ex doesn't reward you for playstyles like the eidos games, only for accomplishing goals. much of the fun comes from using the various systems to your advantage however you want.
- if in trouble, dragon-tooth sword.
first-time tips:
- the early levels are punishing but it lets up around hong kong.
- there's no wrong build, though avoid swimming maybe.
- you'll see people recc computers as mandatory. however, *not* taking it requires you to engage with the world more for passwords. i find it more immersive.
Precision: Just to be clear, I don’t give a fuck about Deus Ex Remaster’s graphics…
All I care about is fucking better lighting in the fucking vents! Because 90% of my energy cells and flares are spent making light in those in order to just fucking progress!

That's how I felt with LoK:SR Remaster, exactly.
Aspyr added "original mode" as a button toggle you could activate any time in game, so I'm guessing yes.
I think a lot of people are genuinely sleeping on how it'll be available on consoles. That's huge, considering not everyone has a PC and Revision mod is PC only.

Friends have a theory they're chumming the waters to see how fans respond and if it's worth investing more money into the series.
If it includes an "original mode" button, I'm just happy it'll be playable without jumping through hoops.
For anyone picking up Deus Ex for the glory of its original aesthetic, Kentie's launcher has done me solid for many years for high resolution+fps+fov settings.
Too many ppl start with the Revision mod, which is like listening to a remix without hearing the original song.
