What did I just watch?

Humans are vital parts of the Loa, we are as integral to them as our cells are to us.
I find this beautiful, because it shows us both how small we are, while at the same time, proving how vitally important we are. Humanity is a small but integral part of something massive.

This mirrors the interaction between humans and cells. When Alan Turing created the first computer the cells within his body had no idea what they were doing, yet they did it!
Within the Spawl Trilogy, humans have no idea what the Loa are doing, yet we do it!

Within 'Count Zero' the Loa are operating beyond what humans can comprehend. During the end of Book 1, 'Neuromancer' we learn that these Loa are talking with other Digital Consciousnesses from Alpha Centauri. By the end of 'Count Zero' we still don't know what the Loa are doing.

Humans did what humans do. We dug ore from the ground, smelted it into metal, crafted the metal into machines, refined the machines until we had computers, and advanced the computers until we created the Digital Consciousness (AI), the Loa.

Animals didn't just pop into existence, cells started to feed on proteins. These cells did what cells do and grew, working together in systems until they became complex enough to be something new, animals. These animal evolved into humans.

I've decided to explore the area "above" the Milky Way's "roof", there are less stars there.
