see watch this: I've been really struggling this last year or so with whether or not writing is even worth my time. Begone, demon!
I think in general i'm going to thought dump here more often too because i spend a lot of time thinking about this stuff and frankly if i post Online i can just get it out of my head and get back to work.
admittedly at least half if not more of those rejections are from an earlier draft that got reworked significantly. But it's still a first book and so I'm not expecting a miracle
side note having started to look into self pub it does seem really easy to do everything except find a decent cover. I'm going to have to find a legit artist to bash together something old school. Can't be having anything with no point of view
I'm also thinking I'm going to start posting excerpts on here because it's where the SFF audience is for me. What do we all think gang
so as my first novel is coming up on 50 rejections I was planning to trunk it and move on. I have already started a new novel. But now i'm sort of thinking, why trunk it? I may as well just self publish right?
and above all, he keeps coming back to one principal: Be patient! There's no rush! I find that SO hard to accept on a daily basis with art. It's tough as shit to be creative but its so important to remember 99% of the pressure is coming from yourself.
one thing i have always been fascinated by with JMSN is his wild genre hopping. In this interview he says as soon as something does well and gains recognition, he drops it and tries something new. Incredible dedication to the game
not surprised some really great art advice from one of the best musicians of the modern era www.youtube.com/watch?v=njrJ...
is it too late to recall the adventure and change the name
A radio that combines the design language of old American muscle cars and the spacerace. The top is forest green with tailfins, the bottom is ivory white, and the front is shining silver, on a silver stand. Up top we find a single antenna, a red power/volume dial, and you turn the 'intake" of the rocket to change the stations (the tuning display is immediately behind the engine, incoporated into the body).

An official XENA’S Skills Certification Card held in my hand. It features Xena holding a sword with both hands, aiming it at an unknown foe, a look of quiet determination on her face. The card is held vertically.
The card turned on its side. It reads: “This card certifies that the bearer CINDY PHAN posses the following skills to overcome enemies and solve problems. •Xena Touch •Flame. •Sword •Breast-Dagger-Launch •Chakram •Staff” There is the official trademark Xena logo on the bottom left hand corner ™️1997. “CINDY PHAN” is written in big bubble letters, as was my style at the time.
Never leave home without it

the road ahead
After fighting the greatest enemy (scheduling), we were finally able to kill the thorn dragon! Players liked the map, despite it seeming be about to fall over at any time.
This is the coolest shit I ever seen
Anyway I am going to write another novel
just got my fastest query rejection ever - only 20 minutes! Nice.

Sketches of vine monsters called threxyls
Hey Draw Steel knowers, in “The Dark Heart of the Wood,” are a Threxyl’s mobility roots bunched up at the base like a crinoid, or along the side, like a centipede.
Also, are their bodies just one vine, or a mess of vines?

Np, these look so cool!!
