iStatistica Pro - macOS System Monitor iStatistica Pro is an advanced system monitor for macOS. CPU, RAM, apps, fans and temperature monitoring.

After *15 YEARS* I'm switching from iStat Menus to @imagetasks' iStatistica Pro. It's pretty great, and I much prefer its aesthetic, especially the menu bar stuff. Only downside is that you can't hide the dock icon. Hopefully soon. 🤞🏼

What the fuck is the deal with site logins asking for your email and THEN asking for your password on a NEW page?

TIL that the last name of the creator of the lithium-ion battery is "Goodenough". He also died today.

I used to gulp Red Bull and vodkas in an effort to maybe die, and now I'm gulping Red Bulls in an effort to maybe live longer (taurine). Science is crazy!

I hope Trump stays out of prison long enough to combat Pence on the debate stage. Can you imagine? I’m salivating. 🤞🏼

The Vision Pro looks an awful lot like the Quest (Pro). Then again, like rectangular screens, how many different ways can you do it?

I'm loving all the domain-based auth, identity, destination, etc. stuff going on lately. Just another few reasons everyone should own their own domain.

After more than a decade on my homescreen, the Wikipedia app has been displaced by the new (official) ChatGPT app. End of an era.

LOVING @raycastapp's ChatGPT integration. The extensions were great, but the native implementation is fantastic. I'm done with my Python CLI interface, Obsidian's plugins, OpenAI's web dingus, etc. Only downside is that I can't use Raycast on my phone (even if only for ChatGPT).

Have you had the “AI talk” with your kids? I recently published a post linking back to something I wrote many years ago regarding AI, and am doing the same here, and for the same reason, namely the growing interest in AI among the general public. Most jobs are going away and they aren't coming back. AI is coming

AI and biological evolution A little over five years ago I wrote a piece that today feels especially apropos given that even muggles are starting to realize the immense potential of AI, for better or worse. In light of this, I’m publishing below the original post in its entirety. Darwin was one of

My favorite thing about Twitter right now is that none of my notifications have anything to do with what I’ve tweeted, or with any interest of mine. 👍🏼
