@gruber.foo do you know if we can daisy-chain a new Studio Display to an old Studio Display? Presumably the last display in the chain can be an old one?

There’s a New Lawsuit Against “Kavanaugh Stops.” It’s Absolutely Devastating. These detentions, far from the “brief” inconvenience the justice described, are often lengthy, violent, and dangerous.

“Kavanaugh stops” is a tremendous term term for cops racially profiling people and someone should start a crowdfunding effort to pay a bunch of SEC sorority influencers to popularize it on TikTok. We must fight fire with devastating trending topics slate.com/news-and-pol...

Can we all agree now that they never gave a shit about the deficit? It was only ever a convenient excuse for keeping as much money as possible in the hands of big corporations and billionaires.

The Republican spending bill is a historic theft that will take from the poor to give to the already-rich.

Republicans passed this knowing people will die.

They know people will lose their health care.

They know children will go hungry.

They will own the tragic results. We can't let them forget.

Republicans in Congress have voted to devastate millions of people across our nation — kicking Americans off their health care, shuttering hospitals, eliminating food assistance, and raising costs.

This is Project 2025 in action.

Kash Patel and Pam Bondi are real quiet when a Dem Gov’s mansion is burned and two MN lawmakers are targeted for assassination. It’s almost as if they only care about one side being targeted for violence….

Also at the briefing, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said that FEMA "fundamentally needs to go away as it exists" and that governors were being encouraged to work together to respond to disasters.
"We're building communication and mutual aid agreements among states ... so that they can stand on their own two feet with the federal government coming in in catastrophic circumstances with funding," Noem said.

Mutual aid agreements among states? What do you think the federal government is?

When Americans raised concerns about RFK Jr.'s anti-vaccine views, he said he was "not gonna take away vaccines from anybody."

But now he's taking them away from millions of mommas and babies.

Vaccine recommendations should be based on science, not RFK Jr.'s political agenda.

The Crash Course YouTube Channel

Twelve years (and 2.1 billion views) ago, when my brother and I decided that we could make videos that could maybe help people in their high school and college educations and then give them away for free, no one was there to tell us we were crazy, and I am very glad for that...🧵

The World’s Most Urgent Scientific Question https://wmo.int/news/media-centre/wmo-confirms-2024-warmest-year-record-about-155degc-above-pre-industrial-level There is no question more urgent than the one indicated by that red arrow in the graph...

Global average temperatures are spiking, rising faster than climate models seem able to explain, and in a sane world, every country would be united in a full-scale effort to figure this out & respond. Instead the US is dismantling its scientific infrastructure.

I often wonder about the people who didn’t vote. Apparently so privileged that election results have never mattered. Have they noticed yet?

I was disappointed Ben Wikler didn’t win the race for DNC chair. He’s done an incredible job in Wisconsin and has been a big proponent of the campaign that never ends. Hopefully the new leadership also understands this.

Even the Wikipedia article is unironically like:

“Platoons decrease the distances between cars or trucks using electronic, and possibly mechanical, coupling. This capability would allow many cars or trucks to accelerate or brake simultaneously.”
