Photogenic studio catastrophe. Artwork consisting of 25lb. Iron dumbbell weight on the ceiling, frees itself from ceiling and crushes foam chairs. As both works are related, it’s a marriage made in heaven.

Drawing of artist Gustav Metzger in a wheelchair
Drawing of Gustav Metzger, leader of the 1960s auto-destructive art movement, though he had a long and interesting career to catch up. An interesting tidbit is that Pete Townsend was a student of his in art school, which may have been an inspiration for The Who destroying their instruments on stage.

Claes Oldenburg drawing
While collecting images of artists in wheelchairs/mobility devices (due to disease, accident, or age-related images) for another project, I’m making some drawings on my phone based on a few of them. Bob Flanagan, Shawanda Corbett, and an unfinished Claes Oldenburg.

I made this drawing on my phone in the waiting room at one of my doctor’s offices last week of Chris Burden getting crucified on a Volkswagen. #chrisburden
