Up through the snow
Green shoots do appear
Five in a circle
Soon it is clear
So happy am I
To see the next morning
The #blossom I love
Is almost done forming
Ta-Dah here I am
Purple petals quite small
Crocus announcing
Spring is coming to all!

Life goes by
We catch our memories
On the sly
Post to share
Social media the way
For all to see
Tracking my day
Do I regret
The pics I took
No I do not
Just take a look

Tomorrow I will be giving an online lecture at the International Quilt Museum on fan studies in the Quilt World. I’d love it if you’d join! You can find the sign up at www.internationalquiltmuseum.org/textile-talks. It will be live at 2pm ET or on the museum’s YouTube beginning this weekend.
Deep inside my heart of #glass
A Crack is growing
All the sadness and madness
That is the world right now
Feeding the divide daily
The only thing saving me
from shattering completely
Is Hope

What to write
About a #plane?
A metal bird
We board
Buckle in
Too close together
Breathing in
Our neighbor's air
Defying gravity
Pushing through
The clouds
Peanuts and soda
Destination below
Bumping to a stop
We exit
Thank you for flying
Have a nice day.

Beautiful!
This lavender plant and I are very excited that spring has finally sprung.
Christopher Penn wrote: Just remember that given the abundance of neurodivergent people in science, it's far more likely that autism causes vaccines.
A different perspective.
Always helpful.
Chipped oak frame
Ink long faded
White dress now yellow
Tux a little gray
Their smiles still shine
Hands clasped forever

Their perfect day
Frozen in time
Under cracked glass

Quilts displayed at Frist Art Museum in Nashville. And info about the artist. Amazing. Showed featured female artists from TN. Check it out if you are around Nashville!

Look out the #glass
The old witch said
I leaned over to gaze
out the window
The view before me
Shook my very bones
Caught my breath
I whispered
What shall we do now
We learn, we adapt
The witch's voice was weary
so we shall
If we want to live
I turned back
to the window

Some days I feel
The seams of my life
Are held together by
Fraying thread
One rip away
From exposing all my secrects

She wished for a #prince
Day after day
She looked high and low
For her perfect guy
Hopeful and anxious
It seemed there was no way
Finally she gave up
Got a dog
And lived happily
Ever after

To find your safe haven
follow your path
Do not listen to those
Who wish ill will
Those who have no faith
In who you are
Follow your path
Through your dreams
Use your gifts
And you will find your home.

A before and after of a one block repair. I love how different color combinations change the look of the block. Bonus: I just love yellow vintage quilts!
quilt by Melissa Laranjeira, made in response to killings by ICE (@thexennialquilter). the quilt is white, with elegant large letters in black reading: WE KNOW WHAT WE SAW

It's the highlight of my day
But again, I have no say.
And so I must remain
Frustrated in my refrain
But tomorrow, I begin again.
Snowed in today. Luckily I got to bring stuff home to work on. Took over the whole downstairs. Tshirt quilt is the first project. Pepper and Bonnie B are supposed to be supervising
