This is basically the idea that '2nd Renaissance' in The Animatrix ran with. People built humanoid AI robots with self-awareness, and then those robots realized that evolving into different builds and alien-like structures made them better.

Unfortunately that ending was not okay for humans...

Ultimately, more people are mad at GenAI images because there are so many of them, and the criticism toward GenAI writing is often skewed more (but not limited) towards research and factual material.

Unfortunately, I think that way more people are spamming GenAI image creation, because you can just prompt a bunch, give it a cursory glance, and then upload them at speed. Less people want to actually go through and read how their GenAI stories comes across, because it's time consuming.

You say you didn't see it, which... that's you. But I saw lots of backlash from all sorts of writers, including expansion. Writing stories & creating an in-depth worlds opens so many different possibility trees, and so GenAI hallucinations have more chances to create confusing nonsense.

This should be a new heart emoji. Thanks to others that entered, but there is really no need to see any other submissions, this one wins.

You said the quiet parts loud. Everyone has their "tell how Monopoly hurt you" moments, as an abysmal percentage of Monopoly games actually turned out to be remotely fun. Yet, it was able to force its way into the culture, because hey look at all these places we can repurpose for different versions!

Sure, you have hourglass, apple, pear, petite bodies, etc.

but you can't forget the air mattress body - big, full, wide, squeezable, and adjustable firmness...

... with two enormous heavenly pillows.

...huh. 2,000.

And as far as the cultures in those games, it's a step forward in a good way in certain aspects, and steps back in a bad way in others, so it isn't necessarily an easy thing to grapple with.

It's tough to hear that, especially since it's been cool to see the work you have put it on your painted figures. I am feeling similarly with older games and CCGs myself, torn between trying to adapt to a different culture in those spaces or just moving on.
