Tonight, we've got a special election in New Jersey's 11th district, where Analilia Mejia (D) is facing Joe Hathaway (R) and Alan Bond (I).

Given the partisan lean of this district, Mejia is practically guaranteed a victory tonight. As usual, I'll post results as they come in!

Canada Scarborough Southwest Riding - PROJECTION

We can project that Doly Begum will win election to the House of Commons, bringing the Liberal majority to 173.

With this projection, Liberals have now secured a full majority in the Canadian House of Commons.

University-Rosedale Riding - PROJECTION
- 🔴 ☑️ Danielle Martin (LIB) - 1,822 (67.7%)
- 🟠 Serena Purdy (NDP) - 435 (16.2%)
- 🔵 Don Hodgson (CON) - 307 (11.4%)
We can project Danielle Martin will win the by-election in University-Rosedale, bringing the Liberal majority to 172.

Major candidates include Danielle Martin (LIB), Don Hodgson (CON), and Serena Purdy (NDP). Liberals won this seat 64-23 over the Conservatives in 2025, and it is expected to also be safe Liberal.

University-Rosedale (Ontario):
Chrystia Freeland (LIB) resigned in January of this year to become an economic advisor for Volodymyr Zelensky. The riding includes the entirety of the University of Toronto, as well as Rosedale, Little Italy, the Annex, and Yorkville, among others.

Candidates here include Doly Begum (LIB), Diana Filipova (CON), and Fatima Shaban (NDP), and a few minor candidates. Liberals won this seat 61-30 over the Conservatives in 2025, so it is expected to be a safe seat for the Liberals.
