A neighbor helped me get him out. I swear to god this kind of thing is why he is my least favorite cat

It’s possible my dumbass cat got himself stuck behind the stacked washer/dryer in my condo. I can’t tell yet if he’s not ready to come out or unable to

In a completely unprecedented first, I came home to dueling house/condo parties in my super quiet neighborhood. Someone was blasting Unwritten so loudly (complete with a party singalong) that I couldn’t make out which song the townhouse was playing nearby 😂

People say Japanese is a heavily context-based language but I think many languages can be like that; the name Luigi has a completely different connotation depending on whether you're talking about video games or the American healthcare system

Flour comes from a plant, sugar comes from a plant, and chocolate comes from a plant.

So, basically a chocolate chip cookie is a salad.

Whistleblower says Trump officials thought USAID did 'just abortions,' asked for 'Barney-style' slides before gutting agency, per new book Read an exclusive excerpt from Nicholas Enrich's "Into the Wood Chipper"

NEW—I got an exclusive excerpt from a USAID whistleblower's new book that made me gasp multiple times. It details Trump's dismantling of the humanitarian aid agency & his team/DOGE's shocking ignorance to public health.

'Into the Wood Chipper' by Nicholas Enrich is out tomorrow. Read excerpt here:

It's nice to see that folks are starting to realize that content has to be accessible in the age of AI, but I'm also seeing a trend where AI accessibility is taking precedence over the actual person's experience. An AI persona should not weigh more than the person who experiences the impact

The real problem with data centers: they inherently create a serious pollution problem. There is no "closed-loop system" cooling those centers. They consume large amounts of water and produce toxic byproducts. Studies are compromised to hide these problems. REJECT! /P.1

Opposition leader Péter Magyar at a rally.

Opposition leader Péter Magyar at a rally.

Orbán's electoral crushing is a far greater achievement than most people outside Hungary realise.

He systemically consolidated power for 16 years, fixed the electoral map, abused govt power for political purposes & censored media.

The hurdles that Hungarians overcame for this moment were immense.

He’s not completely alone. The family that owned King Arthur Flour (now King Arthur Baking Company) decided in 1996 that they wanted to transition to an employee owned company when they retired and that transition was completed in 2004. They wanted to keep it in good, caring hands

I’m making these funny little “carrot” cupcakes for my family’s Easter dinner today. So far I made golden yellow cupcakes from scratch and have frosted them with chocolate frosting and dipped them in chocolate cookie crumbs.

Now I’m making vanilla frosting and coloring it orange to make the carrots
