To be fair to the online doomers it’s hard to feel optimistic in these times and it’s been so after 2016, too much pessimism will make you want to off yourself and too much optimism might lead to denialism.

I think I will always be pessimistic to some extent but I try to be a realist

Last year I fully gave in to the doomscrolling and thought there was no hope anymore (only to be proven wrong)

If there’s one thing I’ve learned is that too much pessimism will make you want to shoot yourself and too much optimism will land you in la la land, so for me it’s trying for the middle
