One survival skill I’ve learned with three young kids is a finely-honed glucose monitor. I can sense blood sugar levels of children.

I’ve negotiated my fair share of deals (raised over $250m) but it pales in comparison to negotiating with a stubborn, hangry, and jet-lagged 6 year old.

“The cabs on the cranes are much lower here than in our country”
“Usually in Colorado you don’t see that many cargo ships”

Things my 6yr old said on the drive from Hong Kong airport to our hotel:

“Why is the steering wheel on the other side?”
“Why are all the buses double decker buses?”
“Stuff in China is very organized”
“Why is there so much water in China?”

P.S. Satellite-based internet access is pretty magical

I left Denver 30 hours ago and I’m about to land in Hong Kong. One day I will tell my grandkids about trips like this and they will react in disbelief: “supersonic travel was possible but people just didn’t do it?!”

Not starting things off on a good foot. First leg got delayed due to mechanical issue and now will miss my connection and land 24 hours later than I originally planned. 😩
