There's only one perfect photo for this year's Earth Day, and it's this one that the Artemis II crew took. Happy Earth Day.

This morning I’ve seen Olly Robbins’s appearance before the select committee described as ‘box office’, while a commentator flagged up another key political moment with the words ‘bring the popcorn’.

That’s one of our main problems right there.

OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.

Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

Lindisfarne Winter Song 1995-07-02 Newcastle City Hall.
Lindisfarne Winter Song 1995-07-02 Newcastle City Hall. YouTube video by bruce davison

May introduce my musical hero? This was Alan Hull's final performance with his band, Lindisfarne. 5 months later, he was dead.

Elvis Costello described Winter Song as one of the finest songs ever written in the English language. And he was right.

Rest easy, Alan...

Boris Johnson didn't pass vetting when Theresa May appointed him Foreign Secretary.

The media must have missed that one.

Mike Levin: It should be a much bigger story that JD Vance flew to Hungary, stood on a campaign stage, and told voters to return a head of government widely documented for human rights abuses and democratic backsliding.

Then, after his candidate lost, Vance said what had happened during the Hungarian campaign was “one of the worst examples of foreign election interference that I’ve ever seen or ever even read about.”

Was he describing himself?

We should pity the gullible and scared people who fell for the disinformation that surrounded it. Some were victims as a result.

Should also hold those to account who spread fear and disinformation that still resonates today and is pretty much the accepted narrative on Talk and GB News.
