Crimson Desert's built-in rendering has obliterated (in the worst way) how bright and dark scenes look. Reshade can't even fully fix it, it's so bad, and there's no way to fix it on the consumer end because it's a proprietary engine pretending it's Unreal Engine. Fun to play, awful to look at.
Yes please keep fighting the good fight. Upscalers looking like ass aside, TAA, auto-exposure/eye adaptation, and forced key bindings are constantly making games look and play worse than they have in literal decades. I'd take xbox brown games over what we're getting nowadays, it's just that bad.
I did 2 things tonight that not enough people have done. I beat Romeo is a Dead Man and I watched DTF St Louis episode 3. Both amazingly artistic experiences and I don't think I know anyone who has managed to do both because of how opposite of the media spectrum they are.

Mark my words as someone tapped into the vein of the games industry as deep as I can tap: The first developer to take a well-built extraction shooter and convert it into a purely PvE 1-8 player co-op experience *will* see moderate success. I don't see Marathon or ARC lasting long in their genre.
