Nah, that's probably just something you eight.
I must admit, it made me feel a bit six.
if Tim Curry had only blessed us with this speech it would have been enough, but he has given us so much more
Watching Zootopia 2 and the Alien parody being Platypus is sending me to the moon
...Is that better or worse than my vet having a box labelled Blood Start Powder?
Me, whenever I see someone mentioning a 200-year-old novel I love on social media:
I can't recall if I actually played the demo of this one or not, but I certainly remember reading about it!
Between this and Devil Dice, there were some good old (and good odd) games back on the PS1...
...Now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever played anything that has this sort of NG+ mode.
I keep meaning to play things that do (like Nier Automata, assuming that's a good example from what I've heard about it), but never seem to quite get around to them.
That said, there IS a flip-side to the music in this show.
The instrumental themes are great, but I must warn you: if you find the whole "sad remix of a popular song" thing a bit funny, DO NOT binge-watch Paradise, or you'll laugh yourself to death.
How can I best recommend the TV show Paradise to people without spoiling anything about it...?
It's the kind of show that has a lovely piece of theme music, and plays it numerous times over emotional scenes - some of which even succeeded in making my dusty old heart feel things.
In their defence, I'm pretty sure they came up with it as a funny idea rather than a genuine proposal for a game!
That said, I did install a Max and Chloe mod for XCOM 2 and give Max as many time-related psionic abilities as I could, so if Deck Nine fancy shaking things up for their next game...?
As usual, my personal favourite idea for an XCOM-style game is the one that made me laugh the most (someone tweeted "Life Is Strange: Tactics" years ago, and I will never forget it) ... but Stargate SG-XCOM is definitely one of the objectively better ideas.
From EARTHSEED: THE BOOKS OF THE LIVING Choose your leaders with wisdom and forethought. To be led by a coward is to be controlled by all that the coward fears. To be led by a fool is to be led by the opportunists who control the fool. To be led by a thief is to offer up your most precious treasures to be stolen. To be led by a liar is to ask to be told lies. To be led by a tyrant is to sell yourself and those you love into slavery.
Octavia E. Butler, 1998:
An excellent choice!
...I'll be honest, I watched Solaris so long ago that I can't actually remember much about it, but I can recall thinking it was very good.
G-Police stuck against the goddamned invisible dome and spooked by the soundtrack
This is where I skeet from
I remember when the PS2 first came out, a fellow G-Police fan recommended setting the Frame Rate to minimum as the power of the PS2 would naturally compensate for it, giving you the best of all three worlds.
I don't know if that actually works, but it might be worth a try!
I remember reading about the Apollo missions, and how one astronaut reported a faulty device only for Ground Control to eventually respond that he should try hitting it.
Kinda sad that nothing THAT hilarious happened to Artemis II, but it's probably for the best in the long run...
If you want an additional incentive, I've just put up reviews of the first of Big Finish's adaptations of Virgin's Bernice Summerfield novels, Oh No It Isn't! and Beyond the Sun, which can be read by anyone who signs up as a Ko-fi member or donates.
This week, it's a novel that's definitely in my Top 2 favourite Lance Parkin books from 1998, as we get one last hurrah for the Dellah/St Oscar's era NAs before everything changes. It's Beige Planet Mars.

Well, this was fun.
I've lost two weeks of work in the hospital. If anyone can help until I get back on track, I would greatly appreciate it. I can accept donations via Venmo: @divineeliza

...Well, there is a risk that you could be TOO Life-Is-Strange-like. Lord knows what sort of damage that could do to your health! Better not risk it, I say.
See, THIS is why Advance Wars is the best game ever.
Forget the infantry; in that series, most of the TANKS can't even damage the paintwork of the battleships.
Feels very appropriate, to be honest... Isn't leaving fans waiting after an awful cliffhanger the most Life Is Strange thing you can do?
...Considering that I've seen Fane referred to as 'the unofficial main character' of the game, and the character with the most and/or best story, that's actually really disappointing.
Is there no dialogue at all about it? Not even an optional [UNDEAD] line?
I've been playing D:OS2 myself, these past few weeks!
Fortunately, I saved my game right before approaching a heavily-guarded area, as I'd expected to immediately trigger a battle ... instead, one enemy archer slowly notched an arrow and shot my cat dead.
When I tell people that I enjoy reading old novels, I always stress that it's not because I'm super-smart so I can appreciate them on a level beyond that of lesser readers, and that I'm not trying to be pretentious.
I enjoy reading them because they are genuinely hilarious.
“Vera,” said the countess, turning to her older daughter, obviously not her favorite. “How is it you have no notion of anything?” Excerpt From War and Peace Leo Tolstoy, Richard Pevear & Larissa Volokhonsky https://books.apple.com/us/book/war-and-peace/id460819556 This material may be protected by copyright.
“I often think how unfairly life’s good fortune is sometimes distributed. Why has fate given you two such nice children (excluding Anatole, your youngest, I don’t like him),” she put in peremptorily, raising her eyebrows, “such lovely children? And you really value them less than anyone and are therefore unworthy of them.” And she smiled her rapturous smile.” Excerpt From War and Peace Leo Tolstoy, Richard Pevear & Larissa Volokhonsky https://books.apple.com/us/book/war-and-peace/id460819556 This material may be protected by copyright.
“The count is suffering both physically and morally, and it seems you have taken care to cause him as much moral suffering as possible.” “May I see the count?” Pierre repeated. “Hm! … If you want to kill him, to kill him outright, you may see him.” Excerpt From War and Peace Leo Tolstoy, Richard Pevear & Larissa Volokhonsky https://books.apple.com/us/book/war-and-peace/id460819556 This material may be protected by copyright.
I’m reading War and Peace, and you know, probably a lot more people would read it if they knew just how extremely cunty the dialogue is
