gosh, Greg. You always manage to go so deep!
Dia owned a whole bunch, right? I remember sitting on them….
I like the idea of remakes (in all cases, for all art!) And don’t you love the foam furniture? That’s truly my favorite.
so happy to read this from @greg.org : “John Chamberlain’s foam sculptures are some of my favorite works of art in existence.” — couldn’t agree more. Chamberlain once said that his dealer “forbade” him from continuing to make them; collectors only wanted his crushed cars.
Hi folks -- Next Monday (April 14) at 7pm, is the NYC launch of my new biography of Albert Barnes, at PowerHouse Arena in DUMBO. I'm especially pleased that the great Alexi Worth will be talking through the book with me! Come one come all! powerhouse-books.ticketleap.com/book-launch-...

My biography of Albert Barnes is officially published by Ecco Books TODAY! You can AT LAST go out and buy copies for all your friends. See the Q&A in today's Philly Inquirer, or come hear me talk Th at the Free Library of Philadelphia. Links to my coverage are here: drive.google.com/drive/u/0/fo...
Very pleased and proud to say that my Albert Barnes biography, due out on March 18 from Ecco Books at HarperCollins, has already been named one of Town & Country's "Must-Read Books of Spring 2025." Couldn't have written it without the Barnes Foundation folks.
Don’t forget that capital and profit are now officially in the USA as holy as any communion wafer ever was.
So now we aren’t allowed to parody something by associating it with poop, lest we “tarnish” it? That’s sure a bullpoop decision.
My first BlueSky post!
My review of the great Dawoud Bey @seankellygallery.bsky.social show got nice play in @nytimes.com today: www.nytimes.com/2025/01/30/a...
I expanded on one thought -- on how the video and prints interact -- on my Web site BlakeGopnik.com.
