Celebrated our paper: We show that supporting, rather than suppressing, some cellular responses to hypoxia can be neuroprotective. Sometimes, hypoxia markers are not just biomakers, but therapeutic avenues.
Tks @elife.bsky.social for supporting unconventional ideas

Me: send me your manuscript, I will review it on the plane.

Lab member: No, you are taking a few days off this weekend. I am not sending you anything.

Atlas of the plasma proteome in health and disease in 53,026 adults A large-scale proteomics study involving 53,026 individuals maps 2,920 plasma proteins to 406 prevalent diseases, 660 incident diseases, and 986 health-related traits, identifying promising biomarkers for disease discrimination and potential therapeutic targets and paving the way for precision medicine.

This is, by far, the most interesting and informative research study I have seen…so much to unfold here for translational purposes, drug development etc!
Amazing work research team and Cell team!

I will always be in awe of the strength, resilience, love and selflessness of NICU families.
