When you see the film it’s always hard to fathom it was made over 40 years ago … remarkable.

S’funny that we have denial of human activity as an agent of climate change and its effects. Photos like this bring it home.

A big year for you!

I played a “best of” album for years in a pub a ran - it was the sort of pub where I could play what I wanted pretty much.
I fell in love with those tracks but to my embarrassment and for some unknown reason I’ve never looked further than that old CD. Your list will change that!

There’s a big psychological difference between “seeing” and “knowing”.
Which is of course why “you know” was used by the likes of Cameron all the time. Not because he’s “posh” but because it’s a gaslighting technique.

That must be difficult - if you’re really into electronics you need the space otherwise you’re endlessly shifting things (or tripping over them!)
Well whatever you do don’t stop I’m pretty fussy about what I like and I you’re your raw originality.

That last LP wot u dun is bloody brilliant. I’m getting shades of Blancmange , Depeche Mode but moody and with shades of Soul. How do you do it?
Please let it not be your last LP.

Good point. Why is the Dr 110 clap so good. Just great design from the engineers with for the time I guess limitless resources!

I meant feel COMMA like anything smashed out of a PPG or 950.
Somehow a sample processed with analogery is just so pleasing to the ears - well mine at least.

I remember this image from childhood. I think it was on the cover of 60s book on photography that my granddad had.

Amazing what you see when you happen to look into someone’s house when they’ve left the lights on and curtains open…

IIRC it’s a sample through an analog filter? Somehow for me that just makes it _feel_ like almost anything smashed out of a PGG or an Akai S950. Two worlds colliding.

Fuck Spotify. Left it after the Joe Rogan debacle. Just like I left Twitter. It makes no difference to Spotify or Twitter in the scheme of things other making one realise that actually one still has a voice - even it’s only yourself listening.

You could lower in a speaker and mics for a bit of worldizing! Probably not a good idea to go wandering around in there.

… The Penal Colony I think it’s called. I can’t say more without spoiling it for those who haven’t read it.

They’re relatively common but I’ve never worked out who built them and water the water was for. Perhaps they’re WW2 home guard things.

The image and your words remind me of Kafka story about the Commandant who falls into the punishment machine…

It looks built into a mound slightly? it might’ve been a water tank at some point - which is why it’s not very deep.

Well that’s going to do wonders for global warming. Another reason why we should stop the wars!
