Thank you. That seems sensible and should happen more and so I think my initial point was valid and not confused.

And is it impossible to use that excess CO2 for commercial purposes? It might not use much but at least it would recycle some .

Please do explain as I am genuinely interested

Thank you, interesting, but I still think that given we need this stuff we should work on a way to refine what we have in due course even if that will not solve the immediate problem.

AI tells me that we have the wrong sort of CO2 as it is impure but surely instead of putting it on the sea bed we should refine it and use it ? I accept that can’t happen overnight but should we not be looking ahead on this? 🤷‍♀️

So we are running out of CO2 and at the same time spending money on storing it. Why don’t we spend that money instead on purifying industrial CO 2 so that we can use it for all the things it is needed for? Can anyone explain please?

Regardless of the rest of your post, Labour is raising tax on the rich and middle earners. The freezing of thresholds is really significant.

Does no one else have this problem?

The new Arterio trains going into Waterloo have such a large gap between the train and the platform that they are dangerous for the elderly, disabled and people with children. How did regulators permit this?

Why did they lay off Clarrie? Idiots

OMG! One could respond that it is hard for a man to be intelligent if all he can think about is massages and the rest, but I would not stoop to argue that since I would not indulge in such a simplistic generalisation.

‘Did you leave your reading glasses in the Venice house? Did you leave your new wife in the Paris pad?’ Real life problems. Can’t expect him to get his facts right.

A big muddle

They seem to have conveniently forgotten that there is already a company/trust/ agreement with Elizabeth, Shula and Kenton. Do Ben and Josh get a similar deal
on a sale? All needed sorting quite apart from IHT.

When you think how much specialist advice they have got on other story lines this seems very odd.

Having finally caught up with the need to do a story about Inheritance Tax the scriptwriters are making a total mess of it! Don’t seem to have made any attempt to understand the issues. Disappointing #thearchers

That sort of thing! I am used to it and it is fine- I am reading about tax…but I am sorry you are having a hard time.

Deborah Cameron obituary: linguist, feminist and firebrand Linguist, feminist, firebrand and scholar known for her pithy and forensic dismantling of societal myths dies aged 67

Very sad to see this. I knew Deborah as a colleague at Worcester College, where she was as sensible, no-nonsense and wise as in other roles described here. My sympathy to all her family and friends. Deborah Cameron obituary: linguist, feminist and firebrand

Quite right Ben or, as I might say, some of you are missing the point here …

We first heard this at a Worcester Collrge dinner. So relevant, so wonderfully performed.

Once had privilege of listening to Ian McKellen perform at Oxford. Seemed timely then - even more so now.

Yet you have said in this thread reducing ability to employ people is a good thing and that you can reduce your CT to near zero. So what exactly is your business?
