Hiro won't admit it, but he really can be protective over his siblings. He's probably the one who struggles the most at getting a grasp at his own emotions.

The three of them are considered anomalies, as they have a slightly better grasp at some things regarding human emotions and behaviour than others of their kind. Thus, they are being chased by some members of their species.

Shinto is shy and soft-spoken, Hiro is a little colder, Haku is smol.

They are from an original species from one of my personal projects. They're basically humanoid creatures made of dark matter and their goal is to research human culture to imitate it. They often struggle to understand human emotions but are trying nonetheless. [+]
