I love watching behind-the-scenes footage from action movies! In this clip from the making-of TATSUJIN WARRIORS (2026), you can see Director Koichi Sakamoto still counting out the beats as the actors fights with a grin on his face, even though he's done this... a million times?
Hats off to the AD (I think?) who really gets into it as well, and makes sure his boss is happy with a quick glance at the end.

It is very funny that in reaction to their losing streak, the New York Mets ' Reddit has turned into a place where people are posting about meat:

Video Rental Store Nostalgia = Generally Good
Specifically Blockbuster Nostalgia = Terribly Misplaced If Not Entirely Bad
I worked for years at both a Blockbuster and a mom & pop local rental place. Blockbuster was the devil that killed every cool video store it could via monopolistic practices
This is from PROJECT GMK 2001, a two-hour making-of feature about GODZILLA, MOTHRA AND KING GHIDORAH: GIANT MONSTERS ALL-OUT ATTACK: archive.org/details/proj...
It has to be said.
Yikes! Have they said they're shutting down?
I want to get good at pinball.
Nice! This will be right up your alley.
If you fell in love with anime in the late 90s and ripped open packages filled with fansubbed VHS tapes, Anders Häger Jönson's feature length video essay PLACES THAT WERE ANIME TO ME will be at once heartwarming blanket and a dagger to the heart: Highly recommended!
And here's the movie's stricking trailer: youtu.be/TdWn8ma-ftQ
And the full feature is available for $3 bucks on the director's page: giveareason.gumroad.com/l/placesthatwereanimetome
Here's my review: letterboxd.com/justindeclou...

The only thing good thing a billionaire has ever done is make a 22-minute movie about themselves being super cool and so strong that they could defeat the real Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Wu Jing, and Tony Jaa - while being choreographed by Sammo Hung, Ching Siu-tung and Yuen Wo-ping.
