Yeah fair enough, though I think people will eventually (maybe even soon?) realize this actually does directly impact them

I know a lot of people who use AI full time now for coding, and I really struggle with how to feel about it. It's difficult not to feel a strong aversion to it, given all of the very visible harms it does.

I find it equal parts frustrating and depressing that the open source software I’ve invested so much effort in creating and supporting was used (in at least an attempt) to train our replacements.

I think it's a combination of living in noisy cities, my style of work (I like getting a head start on things, I prefer quieter morning office environments), and the freedom to run in the warmest part of the day (which requires leaving work earlier rather than later)
