A little butterfly needed a rest. So it sat on my finger for a break during my walk. It rode for a few strides and then flew away.
Nothing prepares you for watching paramedics preform CPR on someone IRL. I went into the office today & it was there right in front of me. To give them space I turned around and went in the back doors.

My balcony plum tree has blossoms!!!! I’ve had it for 3 years now so I was hoping this year it would blossom. I hope I get some fruit from it. 😋 I count 6 blossoms so far!!! #balconygarden #urbangardening #gardening

That’s so great! I love it to. We used to each need a car to drive to work. (Then we have a motorcycle & a project car lol) But now I work from home, and I love walking everywhere. It’s also been a great impact on my health! I love the neighbourly chats too!
Oh that’s amazing! Walkable communities are great. It’s so weird that my husband & I own 4 vehicles… but we walk everywhere because we live in a walkable community. I love getting out and walking in my neighbourhood. And I prefer walking to the store (unless I’m going to wholesale)

Thank you!!! Those darn squirrels hahaha. Thankfully they can’t get onto my balcony. Yet… lol I have so many trees now. I’ve got 2 birch, 1 cedar, 1 plum, 1 Douglas fir, and 1 mountain ash. The only tree I planted was the plum. The birds gave me the others. Hopefully the Gary Oak do well!
In the fall, I grabbed a handful of Gary oak acorns. I tossed them into an empty pot on my balcony. Guess what? TWO OF THEM HAVE SPROUTED!!! I’m helping a protected/endangered species grow on my BALCONY!!! 😍 #yyj

I needed to buy some Tabasco today, which had me realize it’s a US product. I couldn’t find thing on the shelf near by that was Canadian that fit the flavour profile so I still bought a small bottle. But does anyone know of a Canadian brand that makes a hot sauce like Tabasco???
