I've had parts of this written down for a while - but I thought it was about time to document the detailed version of what happened during Balatro development

Really great write up here on parallel processing approaches for Jenkinsfiles in Groovy... this should speed up my pipelines a lot

picking up PromQL today and it’s nice when it works but it’s also very easy to write expressions that can’t evaluate, and not very easy to pinpoint why
maybe I’m just a smooth brain but k8s-style ”define everything and anything with YAML” (used by Perses) is incredibly easy to get lost in. turtles all the way down.
the benefit is how easy it is to change and revert resources in an arbitrarily defined system, i guess
my source built Perses container wont execute in k8s with the project’s helm chart (maybe their own image plays nice, dockerhub allowed at my org)
nevertheless I port fwded Prometheus from remote k8s as a data source my Perses Docker container. The metrics flow! No Grafana! Dashboard-as-Code!
put on my DevOps brand big boy pants and learned how to use helm in k8s today

looking into Perses, the Cloud Native Computing Foundation's answer to open-source dashboarding since Grafana went AGPL. got it running from source in a container, CRD via helm chart + Prometheus in k8s comes next.
dropping some resources since Perses is so new and has really limited SEO and docs:
