The Alt-Right Playbook: The Ship of Theseus, greyed out on YouTube with REMOVED written over it
Email from YouTube: Hi Innuendo Studios, It looks like The Alt-Right Playbook: The Ship of Theseus doesn't follow Community Guidelines. We removed it from YouTube. What we found We think your content violated our violent or graphic content policy.
A stunt man running down the street on fire, from the music video for "California" by Wax
A black and white illustration of Charon, a skeletal figure dressed like the Grim Reaper, ferrying a boat across the river.
YouTube has removed The Ship of Theseus for containing "violent graphic content," with the offending images including a screenshot from the music video for "California" by Wax and a drawing is Charon, the ferryman of the River Styx.
Ich bin schon sehr aufgewühlt, also: Potenziell.
Games journalism has to undergo major changes, for sure, but what it does NOT need is the return of all-male, all-white editorial teams.
I'm sure these are capable people, but with a lack of diversity inevitably comes a lacking variety of perspectives on games.
They're going after horror, we said this would happen
A promo image consisting of the following elements: There's a photo showing a close-up of two hands, one resting on a transparent plastic table, the other on an assitive controller, the Byowave Proteus. On the table, there is also a Smpartphone and three colourful buttons. In the upper right corner of the image is the logo of our project inclusive game lab, at the bottom are the logos of the University of Applied Sciences Cologne, the Department for Youth Media Culture, and the Ministry, depicted on a white background.
I'm incredibly happy to announce that something me and my (former) team worked on for the past two years is now available: An archive of Open Educational Resources focusing on games and #accessibility!

I'll make a bold claim: Most of the people restricting access to comprehensive sex education and/or to certain platforms don't actually care about young people's well-being.
You're free to download, modify, and share all of these materials, as they're licensed as CC BY SA 4.0. So the only thing you have to do is attribute us and share your modified materials with the same license, there are no other limitations.
...created with both cognitive and visual accessibility in mind. All video recordings are equipped with closed captions.
And finally: While working on this project, we noticed that there are few non-copyrighted photos showing gamers with disabilities – so we created an image archive, as well!
Every session focuses on one subtopic and consists of a script, a presentation, and a recorded talk.
We took great care in making the materials themselves accessible, too: Everything is screen reader-compatible, the scripts are mostly written in non-academic language, and the slides were...
As a game dev, you can use these to educate yourself about accessibility and how to improve your projects; if you're a media educator, you'll learn more about using games to foster inclusion. And as a student, you may recommend them to your teachers, as we've also added lesson plans and tasks.

Thank you so much!
My name is Nina (they/them), I'm a game researcher, journalist, developer and adult gaming expert currently in the process of reviving an old game jam project about the mundane aspects of sex work. The game focuses on identifying suitable clients based on their inquiries.
I don't often push for financial support for the work I do, but if you enjoy my work and can spare a little financial support, it would mean the world to me.

A selfie of a slender white person with short reddish hair. They are resting their head on their right hand. On their arm is a tattoo of the non-binary symbol.
A photo showing me, a slender white person, from behind. I am wearing a black denim vest with an elaborate hand-embroidered image. It's an animal skull framed by forest plants and pink and blue mushrooms. There's also the following hand-embroidered text: You cannot kill us in a way that matters.
Happy Trans Day of Visibilty,
we've always existed and we will continue to exist.

Shirley Manson continues to rock (in many ways): "I just find this the most astoundingly weird, cruel and nonsensical drive by any government in about a billion years. [W]ell done picking on the most marginalised, most beautiful, most vulnerable community that we have here in the UK."

Do it!!
Oof, yeah. I feel this.
If you use GitHub (especially if you pay for it!!) consider doing this *immediately*
Settings -> Privacy -> Disallow GitHub to train their models on your code.
GitHub opted *everyone* into training. No matter if you pay for the service (like I do). WTH
